Release of Magic Pilot® by Motovis as Integrated Driving and Parking Domain Controller Platform, with Driving Solution from Continental Group

On April 19, 2023, as enabler of embedded AI autonomous driving, Motovis announced the release of the latest generation of integrated driving and parking domain controller Magic Pilot® in Shanghai. This platform can integrate both driving and parking features in one single SOC with high cost-effectiveness, strong scalability, high perception bandwidth, and high security level.

Magic Pilot® is the latest generation of integrated driving and parking domain controller platform developed by Motovis, which can cover all the mainstream high-speed L2+ driving features in the market, as well as parking domain features such as Fusion-APA , RPA and HPA, also it can enable the vehicle be adapt to the plentiful, diversified, and complex driving and parking scenarios. By accessing the data of 6 cameras, 5 millimeter wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors installed on the vehicle, Magic Pilot® can pre-fuse all the sensor data with the unique pre-fusion framework of Motovis, so as to take advantage of each sensor, and achieve the effect of mutual complementation and redundancy, and increase the coverage rate of various scenarios as well as the security level of the system.

Product Features:

· Extreme Cost-effectiveness. Both driving and parking features can be integrated into one single SOC.

· High Feature Bandwidth. Supporting advanced L2+ driving features as well as parking features like FAPA, RPA and HPA.

· High Security level.Designed and Developed compliant to the functional safety level standard : ISO 26262 ASILD.

· Equipped with the second-generation ultrasonic sensor of Motovis to achieve the best ultrasonic performance in parking domain.

· Perfectly matching fifth generation millimeter wave radar of Continental Group to provide the best radar perception performance in driving domain.

As a strategic partner of Motovis, Continental Group has always laid the foundation for this cooperation with the driving solutions suitable for Chinese road scenarios and optimized costs, such as Navigation On Autopilot (NOA), Full-speed Adaptive Cruise (ACC), Lane Keeping Assistance (LKA), Lane Centering  Control (LCC), Traffic Jam Assist (TJA) and other L2+ advanced driving assistance functions.

Yu Zhenghua, the founder, and CEO of Motovis, said that: "The intelligent driving market of passenger car is undergoing comprehensive upgrade, and the integrated driving and parking solution has become a strong trend of intelligent driving market. Motovis has built a new generation of integrated driving and parking system by dint of advanced AI perception algorithm, the original Pre-Fusion framework   “Cyclops”, and the professional research and development support from Continental Group, so as to improve the experience and performance of the intelligent driving system greatly”.

Frank Petznick, Global Leader of Autonomous Driving and Mobility Business Group (Proposed) in Continental Group, stated that: “The integrated driving and parking solution is developed and driven by product definition, which considers both functional experience and cost. The integration of the two systems can reduce costs by about 50%, with irresistible attraction to car companies. We are very optimistic about the market prospects of the integrated driving and parking solution, and will cooperate with Motovis to utilize respective fortes in respective fields to create intelligent driving solutions with high cost-effectiveness and competitiveness”.New Magic Pilot ® integrated driving and parking domain controller can cover various types of passenger car models from entry-level to premium models, with the features of high function bandwidth, cost effectiveness, low power consumption, and high safety level. Magic Pilot ® can support mainstream SOC and MCU platforms and can expand advanced differentiation functions applicable to higher levels of autonomous driving.
